Rev. Bramwell Kjellgren preached on the subject “WHATEVER” based on Deuteronomy 26:1-11; Psalm 100; Philippians 4:4-9; John 6:25-35. The theme of these passages is God’s provision and the thankful response of God’s people. Deuteronomy describes the liturgical act of offering first fruits to God, and Psalm 100 may well have been the song of thankfulness God’s people sang as they offered their gifts. The Gospel of John takes God’s provision one step further: Jesus proclaims that he is the bread of life – the bread of God that comes down from heaven, the bread that gives life to the world. Philippians serves as a thankful, thoughtful response to God’s gift of spiritual food in Jesus Christ.
